Q: Are the parts interchangeable?
A: In foil you can not interchange the parts. For epee all parts are interchangeable except for the point and contact spring which must be from the same system to work properly.
Q: How can I tell which system I currently have on my weapons?
A: Check the color of you wire to determine your current system. French systems have a red wire while German systems have a blue wire.
Q: Which should I choose?
A: We recommend the German system but ask around your club to see which system is most popular there. Its nice to use what your other club members have in case you ever need to borrow parts or need advice on repairs or installations.
